Brighten Your Face by means of Green Tea


Packed with antioxidants, as well as vitamins C and E, green tea is an excellent skin tone and anti-irritant. One of the most popular nonalcoholic beverages in the world, green tea can also sooth aggravated skin or sunburn, according to Janice Cox, author of Natural Beauty at Home (1995, Owl Books). Here's our adaptation of her recipe for a rejuvenating spritz that couldn't be easier to make.





1/2 cup filtered water
2 tsp organic green tea leaves

1. Bring the water to a boil.
2. Place the tea leaves in a clean glass or ceramic bowl, pour in the boiling water, and allow them to steep for 2 to 3 minutes.
3. Strain the tea leaves and allow to cool.
4. Pour the tea into a mister bottle and spritz onto your face. Do not rinse off.
