Causes Of Puff In Eyes

Puffiness In Eyes

Eye bulge is more often than not caused by fluid buildup. While some degree of puffiness may be normal for a given individual, factors such as age and fatigue may make the swelling more prominent. you usually have the most swelling first thing in the morning. Try sleeping with you head elevated.
Other causes are:
  •     Mononucleosis:puffy eyes are sometimes one of the first symptoms.
  •     Lack of sleep
  •     Fluid retention: You menstrual cycle can affect this, exercise can cause build up.
  •     Diet: Watch that salt intake. Excess salt intake encourages fluid retention and can increase
  •     Alcohol and Tobacco: These contain toxins that can lead to stress, fatigue,.
  •     Allergies: Allergic reactions can range from merely annoying to quite severe. Symptoms are usually itchy, watery eyes, and swelling. I know it's hard but try not to rub them. Some people can mange their symptoms with a simple antihistamine but if your allergies are more severe you may want to visit your doctor.
  •     Skin disorders: Eye puffiness can be a side effect of certain skin disorders such as dermatitis. If the affected area becomes very sensitive and swollen see your doctor.
  •     Normal aging: As a person grows older, the skin around the eyes becomes thinner and may swell or droop. This is very common.
  •     Crying: The salt in tears may cause fluid retention in the eye area. Luckily this is only temporary. A little cool water splashed on the eyes usually does the trick.
