5 Ways to keep your skin Glowing

1. Clean Pillowcases: It seems like just an old wives’ tale, but bacteria and dirt can build up on your pillowcases and, obviously, transfer to your skin. Don’t give your skin any extra bacteria to cause breakouts! Make sure that you’re changing your pillowcases regularly!

2. Eat Your Water: Hydration is the most important part of getting beautiful skin. However, there are better and worse ways to hydrate. If you’re confused about the best way to hydrate and become beautiful from the inside out, make sure to read Dr. Murad’s best selling book, The Water Secret.

3. The Makeup Rule: If you’re the kind of person who sometimes forgets to remove her makeup at night, then this is the year that you change that habit! It’s always best if you do your entire skin regimen at night, but at a minimum keep some moist wipes around so that you can get your makeup off before you go to bed at night!

4. Find the Right Acne Skin Treatment: Even within the Murad line of product, there are a number of options designed for various skin types. Just because the Acne Complex regimen works best for most people, it doesn’t mean that it’s the right combination of products for you. Consider acne pill supplements, anti aging acne products and even some alternative cleansers.

5. Minutes to Destress: We’ve said it over and over again, but stress takes its toll on your face. Commit to fifteen minutes a day where you relax with a candle, some music, even a glass of wine. Whatever helps you release the stress of the day.

The key to any good New Year’s resolution is to keep it manageable. Don’t expect to make all of these changes or have perfect skin on the first of the year! But if you begin to implement healthy skin care steps from the beginning of the year, sooner rather than later you’ll be meeting your New Year’s clear skin goal!

Skin Care Tips

Being able to be more knowledgeable about different skin care answers is truly one effective way of helping you maintain a more beautiful and healthy skin. Remember that the causes of different kinds of skin care problems are actually determined by a wide variety of causes, from environmental factors like dirt, oil, dust, smoke and pollution; or even by psychological and physiological factors like stress and over fatigue.

In this case, here then are some interesting facts from the leading maker of skin care products which has been providing skin care answers to consumers, Ceutiderm Rx. Knowing these facts may truly help you understand the different causes of skin care problems, and how are they treated accordingly.

SPF refers to the time that a skin can still be exposed to the rays of the sun

Remember that one of the leading factors of a wide variety of skin care problems is over exposure to the rays of the sun. This is the reason why Ceutiderm Rxs products have been integrating SPF qualities, providing skin care answers for consumers who would want to become protected from the sun. However, not all consumers know the meaning of SPF. SPF refers to the time that a person can be exposed to the suns UVB before having their skin burned.

The eye area requires a specific kind of skin care product (eye creams) than the ones usually used in the face

The fact is that there are a lot of skin care products which are irritating to the eye area. This is because of the fact that the eye area is one of the most sensitive parts of your body. Therefore, the reason why the eye area has a unique skin care product, the eye cream, is to ensure that the eye is not going to be irritated. In addition, the eye area, compared to other parts of the face, requires greater hydration to the lack of oil glands.

Pore size can be decreases using anti-inflammatories

It may be true that your pore size is genetically determined. However, it can also be minimized by using skin care products with antioxidants and anti-inflammatories

Clear up your oily skin now!

CLEAN and Clear, Malaysia's number one skincare brand among teens, has recently reinforced its comprehensive offerings for teenagers.

To its full range of products that treats normal to top skincare concerns, it has now introduced an eight-times oil absorbing rice protein technology for matte, shine free skin.

"We understand that teenagers today love to take pictures and to look good in them. We also understand that having an oily complexion can spoil those lovely shots. Clean & Clear's latest oil absorbing technology is specifically developed with this oily skin concern in mind," said Joyce Lee, managing director of Johnson & Johnson Sdn Bhd.

The all natural rice protein included in the formulation has a unique structure, acting as a micro sponge to soak up oil from the skin all day long. It attracts and captures sebum straight out of skin pores eight times faster and lasts for up to eight hours.

The rice protein technology is now found in Clean & Clear Deep Action line of cleansers. Clean & Clear uses four technologies in its products to help teens take control of their skin. These technologies are used in Clean & Clear skincare range that serves different functions for various skin types.

The first of four technologies would be Angel technology, a pimple fighter that uses salicylic acid and active botanical formula to dissolve pore clogging sebum.

Triclosan prevents pimples and blackheads while Cherry extract works as a complexion brightener.

Herb Cleanser

Recently I had a chance to learn and even test a new completely organic and 100% chemical-free skin care line from the sunny California. This line has been just recently launched in the US and is not yet available in Europe. It is named after its creator Annmarie.

The idea behind Annmarie Skin Care is to offer completely natural skin care products that do not have synthetic preservatives or any other synthetic ingredients. Annmarie’s goal is also to offer effective products that do show results. Her motto is: Organic. Natural. Wild-Crafted!

I had a chance to try out some products from the line:I liked Aloe herb cleanser which provided a nice cleanse without any feeling of tightness. I was very impressed with Annmarie’s ayurvedic facial scrub. First of all, I have never tried anything like this. It comes in form of a “herbal powder”. You add some cleanser to it and rub it on your face. After I washed the green mass off, my skin felt sooo soft and smooth and sort of lighter!

My pores looked smaller! Very impressing! Another product I tested was a coconut honey mask. It smelled delicious and according to Annmarie it is so natural you could eat it. However, I am not sure it’s suitable for my slightly oily skin. It felt very rich and left oily residue on the skin. I liked the Neroli toning mist which feels very refreshing and moisturizing, it smells divine and calms not only skin but soothes senses as well.

9 Food Rules for Better Skin

Wow, great news on how diet effects skin health and aging!

#1: Skip the high-sugar snacks. Eating too much sugar may cause wrinkles and cause unnecessary damage to the cells responsible for collagen. Frederic Brandt, MD, a dermatologist and author of 10 Minutes 10 Years explains that sugar causes skin cells to become especially vulnerable to protein breakdown, making it less resilient, dry, and prone to developing wrinkles(Source: Prevention.com). If you have to cater to that sweet tooth, a piece of fruit is your skin-friendly choice.

#2: Eat your greens. Dark, leafy green vegetables are rich in antioxidants and Vitamin A, an essential vitamin for a clear complexion and even skin tone.

#3: Load up on healthy fats. Avocados, salmon and cashews are valuable sources of healthy fats that can improve the texture and tone of the skin, and make it less vulnerable to damage. If you’re not getting enough healthy fat in your diet, consider an Omega 3 or Omega 6 supplement.

#4: Snack on almonds. Almonds are a valuable source of Vitamin E, another essential vitamin that can restore damaged skin tissue and keep your skin glowing. Vitamin E supplements are another option for excessively dry or inflamed skin.

#5: Go berry-picking. Blueberries, strawberries and other fresh berries are rich in antioxidants and phytochemicals. Eating antioxidant-rich foods can prevent free radical damage so skin stays strong, youthful-looking and resilient, even with toxins in the environment.

#6: Reach for the whole wheat loaf. Whole wheat contains selenium, a mineral that can keep skin cells healthy and ward off skin damage.

#7: Cut back on caffeine. Too much caffeine can deplete vitamins and minerals from your system, and also leave you dehydrated. Dehydration can lead to a duller complexion and flaky skin, so skip the espresso and soda when possible. Green tea may be a healthier alternative, according to Dr. Perricone, and can be enjoyed hot or cold.

#8: Add some color to the salad plate. A daily salad full of colorful vegetables means you’ll enjoy a medley of vitamins, minerals and antioxidant-rich foods that can help keep skin problems at bay.

#9: Skip or limit the alcoholic drinks. Alcohol dehydrates the body and makes you more vulnerable to developing wrinkles, red patches on the skin, and a dull complexion.

Blue Skin Man...

All are very particular about their beauty ,that beauty depends on the skin, All are fond of white & black skin Have you seen the blue skinned person who suffers in this world!!!

A condition caused by the ingestion of silver, the Argyria's most dramatic symptom is that the skin becomes blue or bluish-grey colored. Paul Karason, 40 year-old who's skin turned blue after he used colloidal silver to ease his ailments. It started a decade ago, when he saw an ad in a new-age magazine promising health and rejuvenation through colloidal silver.

Karason sent away for a kit for making colloidal silver -- a home brew of microscopic silver particles suspended in water. For a while, he was drinking at least 10 ounces a day as a cure for arthritis. "I had arthritis in my shoulders so bad I couldn't pull a T-shirt off.

And the next thing I knew, it was just gone." he explained the media, but these claims have no basis in science and after a couple of months, his whole skin turned blue. "I kind of hoped it would fade off!" But it didn't fade off. Argyria is permanent.
